BANNOCK COUNTY, IDAHO
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Bannock County, Idaho (the “County”) will hold a hearing on September 30, 2008, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., at the Chambers of the County Commission at the Bannock County Court House, 624 E. Center, Pocatello, Idaho to determine whether to proceed with financing of a law enforcement facility to be located in Bannock County, Idaho consisting of a twenty-four (24) cell addition to the District VI Juvenile Detention Facility to be shared by all counties in Idaho’s District VI according to the Juvenile Detention Facility Joint Powers Agreement and which addition is estimated to cost up to approximately Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) (the “Project”), whether to enter a Municipal Lease Purchase Agreement (the “Agreement”) in order to finance the Project and whether to join with the other counties that are part of the Juvenile Detention Facility Joint Powers Agreement to file a petition pursuant to the Idaho Judicial Confirmation Law, Idaho Code, Section 7-1301 et seq., describing the Project and the Agreement and requesting a judicial confirmation of the power and the authority of the County, along with the other counties that are part of the Juvenile Detention Facility Joint Powers Agreement, under the constitution and laws of Idaho to approve entering into the Agreement and related documents in order to provide for the acquisition and construction of said Project. NOTICE OF OBJECTION PERIOD
Soda Point Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project
Caribou-Targhee National Forest
Caribou County, Idaho

The final Environmental Assessment for the Soda Point Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project is available for public review. The project includes mechanical thinning of mountain mahogany and removal of understory trees within the 193-acre project area, located near Soda Point. This proposal is authorized by the Healthy Forest Restoration Act and subject to objection under 36 CFR 218. The publication date of this legal notice in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the time to file an objection. Objections must be written and meet content requirements of 36 CFR 218.7. Any objections, including attachments, must be postmarked or received within 30 days following publication of this legal notice in the Post Register. Incorporation of documents by reference is not allowed. The Reviewing Officer is Larry Timchak, Forest Supervisor.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008
CITY OF POCATELLO

Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Pocatello, Idaho, will hold a public hearing for consideration of a proposed amended budget tor the fiscal period October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008; and an amended fiscal appropriation ordinance for said period, all pursuant to the provisions of Section 50-1002, 50-1003, 50-1006, Idaho Code, said hearing to be held at the Council Chambers at 911 North 7th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho, at 6:00 p,m, Thursday, September 18, 2008. At said hearing, all interested persons may appear and show cause, if any they have, why said amended budget should not be adopted or why the fiscal appropriation ordinance as amended should not be approved in accordance therewith.

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS OF THE CITY PARIS, IDAHO FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPT. 30, 2009, AS ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL ON THE 2nd DAY OF SEPT., 2008.

BE IT ORDAINED BY MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, ID.

SECTION 1: That there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the City of Paris, Idaho the sum of $124,870.00 for the purpose of paying the general, usual, ordinary and extraordinary expenses and the liabilities of the said City for the fiscal year ending Sept., 30, 2009, including the cost of lighting streets and the salaries of officers and employees of said City.

SECTION 1-A: There is hereby appropriated from Cemetery fund the sum $7,500.00 for the object of defraying expenses incident to the maintenance of the Cemetery grounds for the said fiscal year.

Total General Fund being $132,370.00.

SECTION 2: That there by appropriated from the Water Fund $79,000.00 for the purpose of paying the usual expenses of operating the water system.

SECTION 3: There is hereby appropriated from the Sewer Income fund the sum of $38,000.00 for the purpose of paying for the operation and maintenance of the sewer system including supplies and administrative fees.
