Notice is hereby given that declarations of candidacy for the office of Trustee of the Portneuf District Library must be filed with the district clerk whose address is 5210 Stuart Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho 83202 no later than 5:00 PM on the 19th of March, 2010.

Such declarations are available at the district office at 5210 Stuart Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho 83202 or at the office of the County Clerk.

Individuals who run as write-in candidates must file a declaration of intent no later than 5:00 p.m. on teh 30th of April, 2010.

Notice of South Bannock Library District Trustee Nominations is hereby given, petitions will be available and accepted for the position of Trustee March 8th through March 19th, 1020 until 5:00 p.m. at the Downey Public Library, 18 North Main, Downey, Idaho and Lava Public Library, 33 East Main Street, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho (Sec. 34-1405, 34-1404, 34-704.I.C.). Candidates for the position of Trustee must be qualified electors and residents of the Inkom and Downey area. One position is available for a five-year term in Inkom area and one position is available for a two-year term in the Downey area. An election will be held on May 25, 2010. Nomination petitions are now available for one position of Trustee on the Franklin County Library Board for the Larsen-Sant Library. Candidates must be citizens over 18 years of age, and must live in the Library District. The trustee seats are for five year positions.

Nominating petitions are available at the library and must be filed with the Clerk or Librarian before 5:00 p.m. on April 16th. The last day to file as a write-in candidate is April 30th.

If more than two nominations are made and accepted, an election will be held on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010.

Public Notice is hereby given according to law, and the requisite action of the Board of Trustees of Jt. School District #150, Caribou, Bear Lake, and Bonneville Counties, Idaho, that a special supplemental levy will be held on March 23, 2010 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said District their vote and determination on a supplemental tax levy.

The polls will be open from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Tigert Middle School, 250 East 2nd South, Soda Springs, ID

Earl and Jalene Somsen residence, 5224 Highway 34, Wayan, ID

Steve and Brenda Tingey residence, 85 Grays Lake Road, Wayan, ID

Bob and Marilyn Kukachka residence, 372 Creek Road, Bailey Creek

An elector must be a registered voter who has resided in this state and in this school district at least (30) days preceding the election.

The question submitted will be:

Shall the Board of Trustees of Soda Springs Jt. School District #150, Caribou, Bear Lake and Bonneville Counties, Idaho, be authorized and empowered to levy a supplemental levy, as permitted by law, in the amount of $556,000,000 (Five Hundred Fifty Six Thousand Dollars), for the purpose of paying all lawful expenses of maintaining and operating the schools of the District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2011.
