The election is held for the purpose of a mayor and two council members for a term of four years. On Election Day, the polls will be open from noon to 8:00 p.m. at the Georgetown City Hall in Georgetown, Idaho.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the general election to be held in and for the City of Georgetown, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. The election will be held for the purpose of electing the following offices for the specified terms:
Two (2) Council Seats – Four Year Term
Mayor Seat – Four year term
Candidates for city elected office are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the city clerk, accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a petition of candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors that has been verified by the county clerk’s office.
The deadline for filing declarations of candidacy is Friday, September 4 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of candidacy are available at City Hall in the office of the city clerk at 382 Main St. from the hours of 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
