City of Preston Ordinance #2008-4 FY2009 Appropriation

ORDINANCE NO. 2008-4
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2008, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3,474,700 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF PRESTON FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY AND SPECIFYING THE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATIONS ARE MADE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Preston, Franklin County, Idaho.

Section 1. That the sum of $3,474,700 be, and the same is hereby appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Preston, Franklin County, Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.

Section 2. That the objects and purposes for such appropriations are made as follows:

Section 3. That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City Of Preston be levied in an amount allowed by law for general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.

Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force on October 1, 2008, after its passage, approval and publication in the Preston Citizen, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Preston, and the official newspaper of said city.

PASSED under suspension of the rules upon which a roll call vote was taken and duly enacted an ordinance of the City of Preston at a convened meeting of the Preston City Council held on August 25, 2008.

City of Preston Notice of Public Hearing For Fee Increase

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing shall be held before the Mayor and City Council of the City of Preston, Idaho, on the 25th day of August, 2008, at 4:45 p.m. at the City Hall located at 70 West Oneida Street, Preston, Idaho, for the purpose of receiving and hearing public comments on proposed fee increases for parking, which fees shall be increased by more than five percent (5%) of the amount of the fee last collected. The fee increases are due to the additional costs of administration and operations.

All persons present will be given the opportunity to be heard. Written comments or objections may be submitted to the office of the City Clerk, 70 West Oneida Street, Preston, Idaho, 83263.

City of Preston Proposed FY2009 Budget

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009 (FY09)
CITY OF PRESTON, IDAHO

A public hearing, pursuant to Idaho Code 50-1002, will be held for consideration of the proposed budget for the fiscal year from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009. The hearing will be held at City Hall, 70 West Oneida, Preston, Idaho at 5:00 p.m., August 25, 2008. All interested persons are invited to appear and show cause, if any, why such budget should or should not be adopted. Copies of the proposed City Budget in detail are available at the City Hall during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays). City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone desiring accommodations for disabilities related to the budget documents or to the hearing, please contact the City Office, 852-1817, at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing.
