City of Inkom Ordinance No. 08-233 Appropriations for FY2009

ORDINANCE NO. 08-233

AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED “THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE” FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD OCTOBER 1, 2008 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $165,627.00 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES Of THE CITY Of INKOM FOR SAID YEARS: LEVYING A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY FOR GENERAL REVENUE PURPOSES, FOR WHICH SUCH APPROPRIATION IS MADE: LEVYING SPECIAL TAXES, UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY, FOR SPECIAL REVENUE PURPOSES WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SAID CITY Of INKOM, IDAHO PROVIDING FOR, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE Mayor and City Council of the City of Inkom, Bannock County, Idaho:

Section 1: That the sum of $165,627.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Inkom, Bannock County, Idaho, for the Fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.

Section 2: That the objects and purpose for which such appropriations are made are as follows:

Section 3: That a general tax levy of $165,627.00, on all taxable property within the City of Inkom be and the same is hereby levied for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2008.

Section 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 5: That the City Clerk of the City of Inkom is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Commissioners of Bannock County and the Secretary of the State of Idaho, in accordance with Idaho Code §50-1003 and §50-1007.

Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of the Idaho State Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Inkom, and the official newspaper of said city.

PASSED under suspension of rules upon which a roll call vote was taken and duly enacted on Ordinance #08-233 of the City of Inkom, Bannock County, Idaho, at a Public Hearing meeting of the Inkom City Council held on the 27 day of August 2008.

Notice of Public Hearing, City of Inkom

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Inkom will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 7:30 PM, or as soon as can be heard at the Inkom City Hall, 365 Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, Idaho.

The purpose of this hearing is, for a possible rate increases that could exceed 5% which could occur in the monthly sewer and garbage rates on residential, senior citizens, business and commercial. The fee increases are due to the additional costs of operation, maintenance and upgrades of the sewer system, and contractor fee increase to haul the city’s garbage.

Any and all concerned citizens are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing and have the right to submit written and/or oral comments regarding this issue.

Any person, because of a disability, needing special accommodations to participate in the above noticed meeting should contact the Inkom City Hall at least forty eight hours prior to the meeting at the Inkom City Hall, 365 Rapid Creek Road.

City of Inkom FY2009 Proposed Budget

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR,2008-2009
CITY OF INKOM, IDAHO

A public hearing, pursuant to Idaho Code 50-1002, will be held for consideration of the proposed budget for the fiscal year from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009, The hearing will be held in the Council Room at 365 Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, Idaho at 7:30 p,m, on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, All interested persons are invited to appear and show cause. if any, why such budget should or should not be adopted. Copies of the proposed City budget in detail are available at the city hall, 365 Rapid Creek Road during regular office hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays),

Anyone desiring accommodation for disabilities related to budget documents or to the public hearing, please contact the city at 775-3372 at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing, The proposed FY 20082009 Budget is shown below.

The proposed expenditures and revenues for fiscal 2008-2009 have been tentatively approved by the City Council and entered in detail in the Journal of Proceedings. Publication dates for the notice of the public hearing are August 12, and August 26, 2008 in the Idaho State Journal.
