NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the general election to be held in and for the City of Weston, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. The election will be held for the purpose of electing two councilmembers for a term of four years and a mayor for a term of four years.
Candidates for city elected office are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the city clerk accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a petition of candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors that has been verified by the county clerk’s office.
The deadline for filing declarations of candidacy is Friday, September 25 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of candidacy are available at City Hall in the office of the city clerk at 283 E. Depot St., Weston, Idaho, from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That declarations of candidacy for the office of Lava Cemetery Board Member of the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery District must be filed with district clerk/secretary whose address is 9915 Maughan Road, Lava Hot Springs, ID 83246 no later than 5:00 PM on the 25th day of September, 2009.
Such declarations are available at the district office at 9915 Maughan Road, Lava Hot Springs, ID 83246 or at the office of the County Clerk.
Individuals who run as write-in candidates must file a declaration of intent no later than 5:00 PM on the 25th day prior to the election.
