NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the general election to be held in and for the City of Georgetown, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. The election will be held for the purpose of electing the following offices for the specified terms:
Two (2) Council Seats – Four Year Term
Mayor Seat – Four year term
Candidates for city elected office are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the city clerk, accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a petition of candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors that has been verified by the county clerk’s office.

The filing period for the Nov. 3, City of Chubbuck general election opens Monday, Aug. 24 and closes on Friday, Sept. 4 at 5:00 p.m. Up for election are the mayor’s office and two City Council seats.
Candidates are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy, specifying the office sought and affirming the individual is a qualified city elector, according to information from the city clerk’s office.
A qualified city elector means:
- being at least 18 years of age,
- a U.S. citizen,
